Eurolux Lighting is well known for its chic lighting fixtures and their latest collection of EGLO Vintage indoor pendants and family ranges, does not disappoint. These EGLO products are also included in the newly released Luminaire catalogue, which Eurolux Lighting will be making available to distributors and customers in the next few weeks.
Talking about the Austrian range’s Vintage collection, Shaun Bouchier, director at Eurolux Lighting says the products have a nostalgic, yet uber-stylish flair: “Each of the luminaires have a distinct feel about them, it is a mix of retro and urban designs that are extremely popular right now. These are lighting fixtures that don’t just make a statement, but makes any room inviting.”
This particular EGLO collection consists of a wide variety of designs and materials, suited to literally every room in the house, office, restaurant or retail space. The trendy Tarbes pendant lamp is a point in case. It features a single black or copper coloured steel cage, suspended from a black cord and ceiling canopy. It is a fitting that makes excellent use of geometric shapes to compliment the exposed globe and reflect fragments of light.
The Tarbes (Tarbes Family) features an E27 socket, but is supplied without light source and is suitable for a maximum lamp of 60W. Bouchier points out that Halogen globes, CFL’s and modern LED lamps can be used in this fitting. “The Tarbes’ modern, industrial design – available in two finishes – is perfect for use in living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and dining areas,” says Bouchier.
Those wanting to create a striking lighting fixture in their kitchen or foyer should invest in an EGLO Cossano (Cossano Family) matte nickel pendant. Strips of brushed steel create the globe shade on this fixture, allowing the light to shine freely through the shade and reflect off its nickel finish. It requires a 60-Watt globe, but different size globes add versatility to this design. It is hardwired for adjustable height and available in varying sizes. The Cossano family of lights offers a modern design with the option of using a single lamp, clustering lamps together at different heights or selecting a three lamp strip.
The faceted Carlton1 fixture fits the vintage theme with its black finished steel shade, with three contrasting inner shade colours to choose from - copper, silver or yellow – with a black ceiling rose. This pendant is fitted with an E27 max 60W lamp holder, which is compatible with either a CFL or LED lamp. The Carlton1 will look especially good over the dining room table, but is also suited for use in retro-modern restaurants and retail spaces.
The polished copper finish of the EGLO Hapton pendant offers a sophisticated design. The pendant features a black cable with a polished copper ceiling rose to match the shade. The height of this fitting can be adjusted on installation and requires a single 60w E27 Halogen lamp or LED equivalent. The diameter of the fitting is 290mm and it offers a maximum cable drop of 1100mm. Bouchier suggests that it will function as a real eye catcher above the dining room table or kitchen island, but could also compliment the bedroom.
