String lights are energy efficient
String lighting is energy-efficient in comparison to other functional light sources. They serve a decorative purpose so their light production uses far less wattage. LED designs, in particular, use up to 70% less electricity and last about ten times longer than the common incandescent bulb. There are also a number of solar options on the market that harness the energy of the sun to power up - a great energy-conscious option that is also convenient in times of load shedding.
